Eastland Forestry Awards 2026

We wish to advise that the Eastland Forestry Awards will not be held this year. Instead, we will be taking the opportunity to come together for a whānau day celebrating the people who make up our forestry industry.

The forestry industry is built on the dedication, hard work and commitment of workers across the region, and we believe it is important to recognise not only those who work in the industry, but also the families and communities who support them.

Our whānau day will provide an opportunity to acknowledge the contribution of forestry workers, celebrate the people behind the industry, and enjoy some time together with family, friends and colleagues.

While we won’t be holding the Awards this year, our focus remains firmly on recognising and supporting the people who are at the heart of Eastland’s forestry industry.

We look forward to bringing everyone together for a day of appreciation, connection, and celebration.

Reason for Nomination

Not less than 200 words. Provide us with a reason for your nomination of this company and/or individual and clearly guide your answer with the criteria for the elected category ie. demonstrate high quality of work output, show recognition by their peers and employers, compliance, training, health & safety practises and productivity. This is ideally a letter of support from their employer or supervisor.

Profile

Not less than 250, not more than 500 words. Provide a company/individual profile relevant to the category. If an individual, comments on character traits, inside and outside of the work place. This is ideally completed by the nominee.

Qualifications/Experience

List qualifications and experience, and for the company any history that is deemed relevant.

Photo/Logo

A high resolution image(s) of the nominee, company representative, or company logo for promotional and collateral material.

Letter of Endorsement

Please provide a letter of endorsement (this is ideally completed by the principal company or forest owner).
